Badge of a Participant of the II Sports Games of the City of Riga, Latvian SSR, circa mid-1950s- early 60s.

Brass, enamels; 20.5 mm tall x 24.7 mm wide. A well-made and unusual piece featuring the Olympic rings emblem (the Soviet Union only started to participate in the Olympic movement in 1952, as the games had been considered "bourgeois" and ignored up until the 50s).

Excellent condition. The enamel is perfect and shows a nice luster.
