In wool bunting with a canvas hoist sleeve, measures approx. 80" long, 14" at the hoist. The hoist sleeve shows a 1990 date of manufacture. This type of pennant was hoisted just below the commissioning pennant on the masthead of the ship of the squadron commander while the ship was underway. Features the USSR naval ensign at the base, followed by a slightly tapered field of green ending in a swallow-tale.
In very good to excellent condition, showing one moth bite and a small dark stain on the blue field, both hardly noticeable. We put a quarter coin between them to show the

This is a very scarce pennant, the first of its kind we've had in many years. Any Soviet Naval Border Guard flags are scarce in comparison
with their regular navy counterparts. It is especially the case with the specialized pennants such as that of a formation leader.
