The assembly with the ship is affixed to the backing with two small screws from the back. The rectangular plaque below the ship is engraved "Cruiser Avrora." The sturdy metal mounting attachment on the back is held with two screws at top center. The name of the ship engraved in English and the English translation of the annotation are clear indications that the item was meant primarily for foreigners and was probably sold in souvenir shops of the Leningrad revolutionary landmarks, most likely in the museum store on board the Avrora herself.

The original manufacturer's box is in cardboard with cloth-reinforced hinge and features a brief informational about the cruiser on the inside of the lid in Russian and English. The box measures 12" x 8" x 2".

The plaque is in near mint condition: no visible wear except for an irregularly shaped split to the outer layer of the plywood on the back, not very obvious and not in the least affecting the presentation of the plaque. The box is in very good condition, showing separations to the right side of the lid, easily repairable if desired, and minor fraying to the outer paper layer, not reaching the image of the cruiser on the lid.

The manufacturer's tag on the bottom of the box is dated October 1989 and states that this bas-relief plaque is part of the series Historic Ships of the Fatherland's Navy. Note that it has a warning not to clean the souvenir with a wet cloth or any other material that can cause scratches, scuffs, or cause opaqueness to the clear plastic or lacquered surfaces.

Please note that the Order of October Revolution in our photo is only for size reference.
