In very good to excellent condition. Structurally, the case is perfectly sound and free of any significant bumps or scratches. The halves match completely when closed although the bottom part protrudes about 1 mm over the top, making it necessary to press on the latch to snap the halves closed. The spring on the hinge is in good working order, and so is the spring of the latch. The chrome finish shows just a few minor spots of tarnish, not too intrusive to the eye or detractive. Inside, mild oxidation is evident, mostly along the edges. Both elastic retainer bands are in place and look too new to be original. Overall, the case presents exceptionally well, with the finely detailed raised artwork dominating the viewer's attention.
