In outstanding, excellent condition. The medal shows no wear visible to the naked eye aside from some minuscule contact marks to the raised edge that are barely noticeable. The details of the bas-relief portrait are perfect and exceptionally crisp. There are no blemishes and only a couple of tiny spots; the original "gilt" mint luster is bright, practically pristine. The old, probably original ribbon is likewise perfectly preserved and clean. Overall, a superb example, nearly impossible to upgrade.
