Badge of Distinction of the Military Order with Cypher of
Alexander I, #3585 (also known as St. George Cross for the
Prussian Allies), 1839. Extremely rare Russian award to
Prussian veterans of Napoleonic Wars. This parctcular piece
was awarded to a Feldwebel (Sergeant) of the First Silesian
Infantry Regiment. In superb condition and includes old,
probably original German suspension with St. George ribbon.
Badge of Distinction of the Military Order of St. George, 3rd cl., #6128, Early
"Turkish War" Type issued for the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905. The
recipient, a sr. warrant officer of the 12th Siberian Rifles, later received a St.
George 2nd cl. for the same conflict. A very rare piece in VF condition.
Badge of Distinction of the Military Order of St. George, 3rd cl., #14825, awarded
to an infantry NCO for the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05. In very fine to
excellent condition, far above average for an award of its vintage, especially the
3rd class. The name of the recipient has been determined using published Russian
archival records.
St. George Cross for Bravery, 3rd cl., #79063, personally awarded by Grand
Duke Georgiy Mikhailovich on Emperor's orders to a Senior NCO of a rifle
regiment, Southwestern Front, "for feats of bravery and valor in 1914-15 battles
with Austrians and Germans". In superb condition , very uncommon for a WWI
enlisted man's award.
St. George Cross for Bravery, a so-called "Czech" version in silvered brass,
without the class designation or serial number, early 1920s. This scarce version
was stamped at the Czechoslovak State Mint and awarded to members of the
Czechoslovak Legion upon their return from the battlefields of the Russian Civil
War. An exceptionally interesting piece in excellent condition.
