Badge of a Veteran of the WW2 Air Defense of Leningrad, circa
1980s. Attractive piece issued to one of the airmen,
antiaircraft gunners and early warning radar operators that
had successfully resisted all attempts by the Luftwaffe to
wipe Leningrad off the map. In excellent condition.
Badge of a Veteran Air Force Navigator, #0545, with award document, May
1985 issue. Very scarce mint-marked and serial-numbered award. The document is
signed by a general and shows the serial number of the badge.
Badge of a Veteran of the Air Force of Moscow Military District, circa 1970s-80s. Very attractive artwork featuring jet airplanes flying in the night sky over the Kremlin and Lenin's Tomb.
Veteran's Badge in Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Air Force of the Moscow Military District (MVO), 1988 issue. An unusual badge featuring Kremlin tower with wings and two airplanes from different eras. In excellent condition.

Air Defense, circa 1970s - 80s. In very fine to excellent

Badge of a Veteran of the 6th Fighter Aviation Corps of the Moscow Air Defense District, issued in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Victory over Germany, 1995. An interesting early post-Soviet badge made basically to the old Soviet standard but without any obvious communist references.

the 2nd Special Purpose ("Spetsnaz") Aviation Division, 1982
issue. Throughout its long history, this very interesting
military unit was given secret assignments of highest
importance - such as flying Stalin and his retinue to the
Teheran Conference in 1943.

the 240th Fighter Aviation Division, 1975 issue.

Aviation Regiment of the Northern Fleet (OMRAP), circa 1970s-
80s. Very large badge featuring Order of Lenin and Order of
the Red Banner awarded to the unit.
Veteran's Badge in Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of
the 5th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, 1980-81 issue.
By the number of enemy airplanes shot down, this was the best
Soviet fighter regiment of WW2. Equipped with Lavochkin
fighters, this illustrious air unit was decorated with Orders
of the Red Banner and Bogdan Khmelnitsky, and added an
honorific title of "Berlinskiy" for its role in the Battle of
Berlin.

Regiment, circa 1970s - 80s.
Badge in Commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the 23rd
Mitava Separate Air Force Signals Regiment, 1982. A large and
attractive badge showing a Soviet Tupolev strategic bomber and
an Order of the Red Star bestowed upon the regiment for its
performance during WW2. After the war, this unit changed its
name several times until it became known as 92nd Mitava Combat
Command and Control Center.

Veteran's Badge in Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the 290th Separate Long-Range Reconnaissance Aviation Regiment (ODRAP), 1971 issue. A very uncommon early badge of a top-secret Soviet spy plane unit.
Veteran's Badge in Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the 392nd Separate Recon Aviation Regiment of the Order of the Red Banner Northern Fleet.
Badge in Commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the 523rd
Fighter Air Regiment, 1971. One of the most illustrious of all
Soviet WW2 fighter units, this regiment was decorated with as
many as four orders, added an an honorific title of
"Orshinskiy" to its name, and received some 15 Stalin's
citations. In the early 50s it took part in the Korean War and
over the course of that conflict, claimed over 100 US and
South Korean aircraft shot down.
