$975.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 1st cl., Type 2 Var. 1, #27914, circa September - October 1943 issue. An exceptionally scarce early version with very thin spokes on the reverse of the golden starburst and gold-plating on the reverse of the silver star. This is one of the first of the 1st class screw backs made after the change in design from the suspension type. In very fine condition.

$1,200.00 Order of the Patriotic War 1st cl., Type 2 Var. 2 (with two- line mint mark), #306931, with a document, awarded to a Guards Naval Infantry platoon commander. He earned the award in the heroic naval assault at Eltigen, Crimea in November 1943. After making a fighting march through the enemy-held territory and even seizing a part of the city of Kerch for a while, the surviving Soviet marines were eventually taken off by boats. Although ultimately unsuccessful, this operation has become legendary in the Soviet Union and to this day remains a part of Russian naval infantry lore. Although the award decree was issued in 1943, both the order and document were delivered to the recipient long after the war, in 1950s. The set includes a copy of the award recommendation from the Russian archives.

$70.00 Order of the Patriotic War 1st cl, Type 3, #534273, 1985 issue. Excellent example with bright gilt and intact enamel. Note the uncommonly low serial number for a Type 3.

$1,400.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 1, Var. 3, #19613, awarded in June 1943 to a military topographer of the Southwestern Front for his contribution in building fortified defense lines. A highly unusual award recommendation! The order has not been re-converted and includes complete original suspension device. In fine overall condition, an attractive piece despite some enamel damage and repair. Comes with archival research.

$570.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2 "starback" variation, #57575, awarded to a Guards Major, commander of an antitank artillery squadron, for the Battle of Kursk.. On July 7, the third day of the battle, one of his batteries was surrounded by a ring of 35 German tanks and fought literally to the last man destroying 5 tanks, 2 of which were PzKpfw VI Tigers. On the same day, the other two batteries which he personally commanded withstood three armored attacks from two directions and destroyed five of the enemy tanks. When the Soviet troops in his sector went over to the offensive in mid-July, his squadron hitched the antitank guns to the tanks for improvised mobility and then provided close support to Soviet armor by eliminating a company of enemy infantry and disabling two German tanks in just a single day. The order is a very early and interesting Krasnokamsk Mint version of the screw back type. In very fine condition. Includes archival research.

$120.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2, "Flatback" variation (Krasnokamsk Mint), #557152, circa early 1945 issue. In very fine to excellent condition.

$140.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2 "Flatback" variation (Krasnokamsk Mint), #499287, circa March - April 1945 issue. Very fine to excellent condition, without any significant wear visible to the naked eye.

$135.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2, "Flatback" variation (Leningrad Mint), #907576. This is probably a catch- up award issued in the early 1950s based on a wartime decree.

$160.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2, distinctive large, concaved version by the Leningrad Mint, circa late 1944 - early 1945 issue. An extremely attractive piece in very fine to excellent condition.

$280.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2 "Small" variation, #617161, circa early to mid 1945 issue. An interesting specimen with the serial number near the upper limit of its version. The size is a bit larger than the typical "Small" or "Fish Eye" variation but significantly smaller than comparable Concave variation pieces by the Leningrad Mint. In very fine condition.

$375.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2, "Small" variation, #601044, with a document, circa mid-1945 issue. Both the order and order booklet are in excellent condition.

$170.00 Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2 ring reverse variation (Moscow Mint), #970939. This specimen features sharply defined ring depression on the reverse. This "catch-up" award to a WW2 veteran was made in 1968-69 but likely issued based on a WW2 era award decree. In excellent condition.

$29.00 Order of the Patriotic War 2nd cl., Type 3, 1985 issue, in sterling with gold plating and enamels, mint marked, numbered. Excellent condition.

$40.00 Order of the Patriotic War 2nd cl, Type 3, #1722999, with a document, 1985 issue. Near mint condition.

$70.00 30th Anniversary of the Victory over Germany miniature Wall Plaque, Korosten, 125mm diameter, hand painted.

$125.00 Order of the Patriotic War porcelain tea cup, Gorodnitskiy Porcelain Factory, 1970s/1980s, very big: 5 1/8" tall! Excellent condition.

$70.00 35th Anniversary of Victory over Germany, porcelain memorial plaque by Baranovka porcelain factory, 1980. The artwork features Order of the Patriotic War.
