Order of the Patriotic War, 1st cl., Type 3, #720834, 1985. The serial number is very low for the 1985 "jubilee" version. Outstanding condition, practically impossible to upgrade.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2, early "Starback" variation
(Krasnokamsk Mint), #65161, Feb. 1944 issue to the Chief of Artillery of a rifle
regiment. During Operation Iskra ("Spark") which broke the siege of
Leningrad, he reconnoitered German positions and personally commanded one of the
squadrons, wiping out enemy weapon emplacements and personnel. A beautiful and
uncommon piece in VF / EXC condition; includes original silver screw plate. Comes
with archival research.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2, "Starback" (Krasnokamsk Mint), #213816, circa late 1944. VF/EXC condition; includes original WW2 screw plate.
Order of the Patriotic War 2nd cl., Type 2, "flat reverse" Leningrad Mint
variation, #880029, awarded to an anti-aircraft gunner severely wounded in early
1942 during the Battle of Moscow while denying air support to Germans trapped in
the Sukhinichi Pocket. Comes with archival research.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2 "Small" variation, #590825, circa late
1944 - early 1945 issue. A distinct and uncommon version in very fine condition.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2, by MZPP factory, #666715, w. a screw
post base added by the original manufacturer, c. early 1945. An extremely
interesting and rare piece: only a few other such MZPP specimens have been
observed, all in the same, very small serial number range. VF condition.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 2 "Ring Reverse" Variation (Moscow
Mint), #928411. Sub-variation w. smooth edge of the recessed area on the reverse.
Very scarce piece in outstanding condition.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl., Type 3, #5088070, 1985. Less common variation
w/o depression around the screw post. A superb example.
Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd cl, Type 2, "Flatback" variation, #546970, March
1945 issue to a Guards Sgt. Major, T-34 tanker, 10th Volunteer Guards Tank
Corps, 1st Ukrainian Front. He and his crew destroyed a Panzer IV, two APCs, three
anti-tank guns and 36 German soldiers near Oppeln in Silesia. A T-70 crewman
earlier in the war, this highly decorated NCO was also awarded w. the Medal for
Valor, two Orders of the Red Star, and Order of the Patriotic War 1st cl. for
Stalingrad, Kursk, Lvov and Berlin. Comes with archival research.
