a set of seven over-sized 8 ¾ " x 11 3/8" handsomely bound and lavishly illustrated volumes printed in Moscow in 1912 on the One Hundredth Anniversary of the War of 1812. Produced under the under the authority of the Historical Commission at ORTZ (Russian Acronym for "Society for Promoting Technical Knowledge"), this is one of the most impressive histories of the Napoleonic Wars ever produced. The narrative is a collective work of dozens of prominent Russian historians, including V. Bonch-Bruevich, M. Rozanov, E. Tarle and many others. All volumes are in very good condition, surprising for their age.
