Medallion is in silver and enamel; measures 32.2 mm wide,
weighs 24.0 g not including the suspension and connecting
In very fine to excellent condition. The enamel is very well
preserved and shows very attractive luster. There are only a
few minor scratches and contact marks, barely noticeable to
the naked eye. There are no chips, significant flaking,
rubbing or any other significant flaws. The reverse likewise
has very mild wear and tiny contact marks, while the raised
details of the soldier are well-preserved and crisp.
Attractive even patina to silver on both sides.
Comes on a WW2 suspension device WW2 type, a double-layer
model in brass with self-locking pin. The ribbon is old but
nicely preserved, shows only minor soiling. The connecting
link is replace -as is usually the case with a XX
Anniversary medal on a Type 2 suspension, but it also
appears to be of WW2 era and its ends are soldered.
