Brass gilt, lacquer, "cold" enamels. Medallion is 37.2 mm wide. Features red star medallion with blue shield and Soembo emblem, white numeral '50' and a wreath under the shield.
In very fine to excellent condition. The blue enamel on the suspension has a single tiny chip. Otherwise essentially perfect, with nicely preserved enamels and lacquer finish. The reverse exhibits attractive patina while the original gilt finish is still visible, especially in recessed areas of lettering and under the pin. This Soviet-made medal is a relatively scarce: only 5000 of them w
