the second award to a person who had already been awarded
with a Mongolian Combat Red Banner once. The serial number
is engraved in standard manner characteristic of the Soviet
mint. Note the extremely low serial number.
Excellent, near mint condition. The enamel is flawless
everywhere. The gilt is bright. The screw post is full
length, nearly 17 mm. Original screw plate is included.
This and all other sequential award Mongolian Orders of the
Red Banner Type 4 were manufactured by the Soviet Mint in
1945-46.The exact number of the 2nd Awards produced is
unknown but likely to be in 400 range: as of now, the
highest known serial number observed for this decoration is
398 (to put this number into perspective, compare it with
the Soviet 2nd award Red Banner, of which tens of thousands
were made and issued).
