Postcard for Estonian Elections to the USSR Supreme Soviet, 1946.
With Rare Postal Stamps Showing Soviet WW2 Airplanes.

The size is continental standard 6" x 4", postally unused and possibly not meant to be mailed. Published by the OKTOBER Publishing House, Tallinn, circulation 30,000. The obverse features the date of the elections and a happy Estonian woman dropping her ballot into the urn. The lettering in Estonian language running across the urn reads "NSVL Ulemnoukogu valimiste paev" ("Election Day of the USSR Supreme Soviet"). Large postal stamps are affixed to the obverse, possibly indicating that the postcard was meant as a collectible item. Two of them show the state emblem of the USSR with 11 scrolls for the number of Soviet republics at that time, while the other two show the Yakovlev Yak-3 fighter in flight and the Petlyakov Pe-8 heavy bomber on the ground with a huge bomb between its chassis.

In very good to excellent condition, showing minor creases and corner bumps, not obvious on the obverse, and a little foxing and edge discoloration to the verso.
