A two-part brochure measuring 6" x 9", soft cover. The first part consists of two fold-out maps: of the Kemeri resort, and of the entire beach resort area now known as Jurmala. The second part is a 24-page guide to the balneological resort Kemeri. While deeply critical of the resort's availability exclusively to the rich and idle prior to the Soviet "liberation" of Latvia at the end of WW2, the brochure happily informs of new resorts belonging to the MVD, Trade Unions Central Committee, and other communist party, government and law enforcement organizations of the workers' paradise.

In very good condition. The maps insert appears to have lost its front cover but the glue binding the maps is holding strong. The cover of the guide to Kemeri shows moderate wear, partial separations at the head and foot of the spine, and can benefit from reinforcement with library tape. The guide is illustrated with a large number of photos.
