The size is 6 ¼" x 4 ½", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The pre-printed postal stamp is canceled with the First Day stamp issued by the Zhitomir Post Office commemorating not so much Sergey Korolev, Chief Designer of the Soviet space craft and the leading figure of the entire Soviet space exploration program, as the monument to him, erected in the city of Zhitomir. A confusing but entertaining effort of the Zhitomir Post Office to create something resembling a first day cover.
