Tall statuette of Lenin taking a stroll, in Silumin alloy, model created by sculptor V Sychyov, circa 1970s.

Stands about 13 ¼" tall, the plinth is 4" x 4" square. Weighs close to 3 ½ lbs. This is one of sculptor Sychyov's classic poses - but unusually rendered without the ubiquitous cap. Very nice quality sculpture. The source for this pose was undoubtedly one of the many circa 1920 photos of Lenin walking across Red Square on a spring or fall day. Since by the 1970s many men around the world no longer wore hats except in very cold weather, the removal of the cap may have been done to make Lenin look slightly more "contemporary" in this rendition.

The statuette is in very good condition

The statuette is in very good condition. Mild and rather evenly spread spots of oxidation are not too detractive. As for post-production wear or damage, there are just two short scratches on the back: at the right shoulder blade and on the left sleeve of the topcoat.

Please note that the medal in our last photo is for size reference only and is not part of the sale.
