    $425.00 Delicate and graceful ebony-handled silver creamer dates to 1851, when only Moscow's wealthiest citizens could afford luxury items like this. Several hallmarks give the silver content (84), the city of origin (Moscow), and the initials of the unknown silversmith (М Щ) who fashioned it.

    $1,550.00 Exquisite ebony-handled silver teapot with the Moscow 1833 hallmarks of silversmith Nikolai Dubrovin (active 1822-1855; died 1862). Profusely hallmarked!

    $875.00 Large ivory-handled silver creamer or milk pitcher with 1834 hallmarks, excellent example of the quality silverware seen on the tables of Moscow's well-to-do during the reign of Tsar Nicholas I. Silversmith is Nikolai Dubrovin (active 1822-1855; died 1862). British coronet plus the initials "O S" (in Latin characters) are engraved on one side, possibly indicating this was a gift for an English relative!

    $3,000.00 "The Patriotic War and Russian Society", a set of seven over-sized 8 ¾ " x 11 3/8" handsomely bound and lavishly illustrated volumes printed in Moscow on the Centennial anniversary of the War of 1812. Produced under the authority of the Historical Commission at ORTZ (Russian Acronym for "Society for Promoting Technical Knowledge"), this is one of the most impressive histories of the Napoleonic Wars ever published. The narrative is a collective work of dozens of prominent Russian historians, including V. Bonch-Bruevich, M. Rozanov, E. Tarle and many others. All volumes are in very good condition, surprising for their age.
