Broad Pennant of a Naval Squadron Commander, dated 1985.
In wool bunting, measures 81" long, 14" across at the hoist.
The hoist sleeve shows a 1985 date of manufacture. This type of pennant was hoisted just below the commission pennant on the masthead of the ship of the squadron commander (smaller unit of 2nd to 4th rate warships) while the ship was underway. Features USSR naval ensign at the base, followed by a slightly tapered field of navy blue ending in swallow- tale. This particular broad pennant is of very large size making it suitable for a larger vessel, perhaps a cruiser.

minor marks from storage, otherwise perfect, completely free
