Veschmeshok rucksack, dated 1987. The design has not changed much since WW2, with the exception of some additional straps, an external pocket and a leather ID pouch.
18" by 26". Fully extended the long and fully adjustable over the shoulder strap measures six feet in length. As with WW2 rucksacks, the top is closed by pulling and tying the twine cord. Shows Soviet maker stamp with date on the inside.
